Privacy Policy

AI Prompt Library does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any user data. There is no backend server, no analytics, no tracking, and no account. This policy explains what the extension stores, why it needs the permissions it asks for, and how you stay in control.

1. What the extension stores

Everything you create — prompts, categories, tags, favorites, and settings — is saved locally in your browser using the standard chrome.storage.local API. This data:

• never leaves your device,
• is never sent to the developer or any third party,
• is only readable by this extension, on this browser profile.

You can inspect, back up, or delete this data at any time from the extension's manager page (Export / Import / "Delete ALL prompts").

2. What the extension can access, and why

scripting	Inject the extension's picker/insertion code into a chat tab on demand (for example, if the tab was already open before the extension was installed).
activeTab	Let the toolbar popup act on the tab you are currently viewing, only when you open the popup.
contextMenus	Show your prompt library in the right-click menu.

No other websites are accessed. No remote code is loaded or executed.

3. Data sharing and third parties

There is nothing to share — the extension has no backend, no analytics SDK, and no advertising integration. We do not sell data, use it for personalized advertising, or share it with data brokers, because no user data is ever collected in the first place.

4. Chrome Web Store Limited Use statement

AI Prompt Library's use of information (which, in practice, is limited to data you store locally on your own device) complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Data retention

Your prompt library remains in the extension's local storage until you delete it, clear your browser's extension storage, or uninstall the extension. Uninstalling removes all locally stored data along with it.

6. Your choices

• You may export your library to a JSON file at any time for your own backup.
• You may delete individual prompts, or your entire library, from the manager page.
• You may uninstall the extension at any time, which removes all locally stored data.

7. Children's privacy

AI Prompt Library is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because it collects no information at all.

8. Changes to this Privacy Policy

If this policy ever changes, the update will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date and included in the extension's version history.
